The Event
The Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) Distinction Evening recognises the contributions of IBF partners as well as stakeholders. In addition, the gala dinner honours financial institutions and industry leaders who have gone the extra mile in their commitment to the IBF Standards and in their demonstration of professional excellence.
Minister for Education, Ong Ye Kung delivered the keynote address.
The Challenge
Compass has been assisting IBF in the IBF Distinction Evening since 2016. For 2019, IBF launched the Skills Framework for Financial Services in conjunction with stakeholders such as SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) as well as Workforce Singapore (WSG) and this requires a notable mention during the event.
Due to the overwhelming response, the close to 600 guest capacity ballroom could not accommodate the Distinction Fellows Gallery as well as the Fellows Gallery.

What We Delivered
One of the biggest challenges was to deliver a narrative for the launch of the Skills Framework for Financial Services. While the event is centric and celebrates the Distinguished Fellows and Fellows of IBF, the launch is a major collaboration for the institution.
Compass proposed a number of concepts ranging from wall suspended frames to projection mapping which IBF decided to commission the production of an actual frame where guests are able to take photos in replacement of a photo booth.
The IBF Distinction Evening is published in Business Times and to showcase the winners in an informal setting, Compass designed as well as directed the winners during the shoot.
