The Event
The inaugural Fintech Festival opens at the Red Dot Museum with the Hackcelerator where 20 selected companies presents in front of a panel of judges as well as venture capitalists and investors.
At the same time, the MAS FinTech Awards recognises innovation Fintech solutions that have been implemented by Fintech start ups, financial institutions and technology companies.
The week long conference ended with the Closing Party at the Marina Bay Sands with the Sam Willows performing. A concert experience was put in place while space design ensured the 10,000 strong audience enjoyed the evening comfortably.
The Challenge
Compass was engaged to assist in the Hackcelerator and Closing Ceremony of the Fintech Festival 4 weeks prior to the opening. The venue was not confirmed for the Opening Ceremony. The Hackcelerator requires intensive demo support with more than 20 companies showcasing their software.
Internet was an issue with the confirmed venue at Red Dot Museum. The venue had limited bandwidth and could not support the demands of the close to 450 guests as well as real-time demos which require dedicated internet access.

What We Delivered
A clever use of the space available at Red Dot Museum, Compass Events transformed the first floor of the building for the Hackcelerator. Specialised LED wall, Audio Systems, Internet Specialist as well as logistics were planned ensuring the demo session went without a hitch.
The dedicated 1Gpbs connection was activated with a specialist monitoring the bandwidth throughout the conference.
For the demo stations, Compass Events created 2 booths so that one team can present while the other team setup. Special lighting were brought in to facilitate as well as a top of the line video switcher to accommodate the demos.
The Hopscotch Bar was converted to a presentation space where judges were seated in front of the bar counter while selected teams presented.
